Join a growing property management company seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Property Accountant to take ownership of our financial operations relating to property management, service charges, and tenant accounting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to work closely with our property management team and support the business with accurate reporting and compliance.Additionally, there is room for progression and development within this role.Key Responsibilities
Sales / Debtors Ledger Management - oversee tenant accounts, allocate receipts, manage cash posting, and maintain the tenant receipts file.Service Charges and Invoicing - raise service charge invoices, post journals, and perform reconciliations.VAT Returns - prepare and submit VAT returns.Statutory Accounts Support - assist with smaller entity accounts.Management Reporting - produce monthly income analysis and direct cost analysis.Fixed Asset Ledger - update fixed asset schedules for investment properties.Credit Control - issue tenant payment reminders and manage arrears.Tenancy and Contract Data - produce and update monthly tenancy schedules from Qube, including tenant contract terms and standing data.Bank Reconciliations - support monthly bank reconciliations.Tenant Turnover Reporting - compile quarterly turnover reports for commercial tenants.Rent Receipts and Reporting - prepare quarterly rent receipt reports and update relevant data.Tenant Credit Reviews - compile quarterly credit scores for commercial tenants.Ad-hoc Requests - respond to VAT invoice/statement requests and tenant queries via shared inbox.System Updates - maintain Qube with new contracts, renewals, and tenancy updates.About You
ACCA/CIMA PQ or QBEStrong experience in property accounting (commercial or mixed-use portfolio preferred).Working knowledge of
Qube (MRI)
or similar property management/accounting system.Good understanding of service charge reconciliations and tenant billing.Confident with VAT returns and statutory reporting support.Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present financial data.Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.Strong communication skills for tenant and stakeholder interaction.If this is a role for you, please apply here or email an up to date CV to charlotte.goodger@investigo.co.uk
