Purchase Ledger Clerk (9-Month Contract)We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team on a 9-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a fast-paced and supportive environment.The RoleAs a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounts payable operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessing a high volume of purchase invoicesMatching purchase orders to invoices and resolving discrepanciesReconciling supplier statements and producing reconciliationsHandling supplier queries and maintaining strong relationshipsPosting receipts and payments accuratelyTaking payments over the phoneSetting up new customer and supplier accountsProcessing subcontractor timesheets on a weekly basisManaging email correspondence and responding promptlySupporting month-end processes and general finance dutiesUsing accounting systems such as Sage About YouPrevious experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable roleStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyGood communication skills and ability to manage queries effectivelyExperience with accounting software (Sage or similar preferred)Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamAvailable to start at short notice (desirable)What''s on OfferImmediate start availableCompetitive salaryFriendly and supportive team ..... full job details .....
