It is located in an economically advantaged, semi-rural residential area of Newport and is within the Bassaleg cluster of primary schools. There are currently 445 pupils on roll plus 20 full time equivalent pupils in the nursery.In its most recent inspection, Estyn stated that: ‘Marshfield Primary School is a stimulating learning environment, in which pupils thrive and make good progress… they enjoy learning and have positive attitudes to school life.’ We continually strive to sustain high academic standards whilst developing a creative, learner-centred, skills-focused curriculum that is driven by the four purposes and inclusive of all learners.Marshfield Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, hardworking, caring, and reliable teaching assistant. The role will involve working with pupils in the Foundation Phase, including those with additional learning needs either as 1:1 or small group support.
