Your sessions will prioritise the topics that block progress most often: number fluency, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio, algebra foundations, geometry, and problem solving. You will tighten KS3 fundamentals so pupils access lessons with fewer barriers, then move into KS4 exam habits where pupils select a method quickly, show working clearly, and check answers with confidence. The national curriculum expectations across KS3 and KS4 emphasise fluency, reasoning, and problem solving, so your support will reflect those priorities and build consistent routines pupils reuse across topics. You will keep sessions structured: recap, model, guided practice, independent attempt, then a short check to spot misconceptions early.
