CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Research Scientist, Mass Spectrometry to join a global biotechnology company, on a contract basis for 12 months. Salary: 270 per day - 330 per day PAYE. Senior Research Scientist, Mass Spectrometry Role:Design, develop, and validate robust small molecule MS-based assays for drug discovery. Optimize assay conditions to ensure high sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility for small molecule detection and quantificationCollaborate with structural biology and biophysics teams to integrate MS data with structural and biophysical insightsWork closely with medicinal chemists, biologists, and other scientists to align assay development with project goals.Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs and detailed record keeping in an electronic notebookMaintain, operate, and troubleshoot LCMS instrumentation for routine and novel assaysYour Background:Relevant Ph.D. or equivalent experience with a proven track record of small molecule mass spec deliveryExperience running and analysing quantitative small molecule mass spec assaysPractical experience working with triplequad MS platformsHands-on experience troubleshooting complex instrumentationExperience of small molecule Affinity Selection Mass Spectrometry (AS-MS) is desirable.Company: Our client is a global biotechnology company that invests in scientific innovation to create transformative medicines for people with serious diseases.
