A highly regarded City firm with a national footprint is seeking an experienced Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join its thriving non-contentious construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile matters within the construction, engineering and procurement sector, with a particular focus on building safety, fire safety and large-scale residential development projects. The firm is recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers UK and offers a strong platform for career growth, business development, and sector specialism.

Responsibilities

Advising on, drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction contracts (JCT, NEC and others).

Managing complex transactions and providing commercially astute advice.

Advising on procurement methods, development agreements, and related contractual structures.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships across developers, contractors, funders, housing providers and public bodies.

Supporting juniors and contributing to client training, seminars, and publications.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years'' PQE in non-contentious construction law gained in private practice.

Strong knowledge of JCT contracts (design and build, traditional, intermediate, minor works, measured term).

Experience with NEC, FIDIC, or PPP/PFI contracts advantageous.

Commercial awareness and ability to “hit the ground running” in a busy, high-performing team.

Excellent drafting, communication and client-facing skills.

Interest in business development and sector networking.
