A leading engineering contractor are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a major data centre development in Middlesbrough. This is a newly created position supporting the delivery of a large-scale development, offering an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile, technically complex project within the rapidly growing data centre sector. The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background combined with proven project management and construction delivery experience. This role would suit someone who is technically hands-on and enjoys working closely with engineering, design and construction teams to solve problems and keep projects moving. The Role As Senior Project Manager, you will take a key role in the delivery of the project''s major substructure package, working across enabling works, groundworks, piling and reinforced concrete construction. Key responsibilities will include: Providing technical and project leadership throughout the delivery of the works. Acting as a technical authority, challenging engineering proposals and identifying technical risks. Reviewing and interrogating civil, structural, geotechnical, drainage, remediation and temporary works designs. Assessing design assumptions, construction methodologies, sequencing and constructability. Managing contractor-led design packages through construction.
