We are seeking a proactive and experienced Community Safety Officer to play a key role in tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and enhancing public safety. You will be responsible for investigating ASB complaints, working with internal and external partners, and implementing effective interventions to improve community well-being. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact by ensuring residents feel safe in their communities while enforcing ASB and crime prevention legislation.Key Responsibilities Investigate reports of ASB and nuisance behaviour, ensuring appropriate enforcement and prevention measures are implemented. Manage casework, conduct investigations, gather evidence, and take enforcement action where necessary. Issue legal documents, warnings, notices, and formal cautions in accordance with legislation. Work with police, housing providers, and support agencies to develop and implement safety initiatives. Provide expert advice and guidance on ASB legislation to residents, businesses, and stakeholders. Work closely with council teams, social services, law enforcement, and voluntary organisations to tackle ASB and promote safer communities. Develop and lead public safety campaigns, training sessions, and awareness programs. Represent the council in multi-agency meetings and policy discussions on community safety and crime reduction.
