Estimator / Buyer - Construction£40,000 - £45,000 based in Chertsey, SurreyWe are looking for an experienced Estimator / Buyer with a construction background to join a well-established and successful business. This is a hands-on, office-based role responsible for estimating, preparing quotations, sourcing materials and managing purchasing for a range of construction projects. You will be involved from the initial customer enquiry through to procurement, delivery and completion, working closely with customers, suppliers and contractors. Responsibilities Preparing estimates, quotations and project costings Reviewing drawings, specifications and customer requirements Sourcing materials and obtaining supplier quotations Negotiating prices and lead times Raising and managing purchase orders Monitoring costs and project budgets Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and customers Coordinating materials and deliveries Managing changes to specifications and costs Supporting projects through to completion The ideal candidateYou will have previous experience within construction or a closely related industry, with a strong background in estimating, purchasing or both.
