SEMH Teaching Assistant / Cover SupervisorFull-Time Long-Term OpportunityTradewind RecruitmentTradewind Recruitment are looking for an experienced and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor to work within a specialist educational setting supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who have a strong understanding of mental health and experience supporting young people who may display challenging behaviour, struggle with emotional regulation or face barriers to engaging with education.This role would suit someone who is resilient, patient and confident building positive relationships with young people who require consistency, understanding and clear boundaries.The RoleDepending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:Supporting students with a range of SEMH and mental health needsProviding 1:1 and small-group supportSupervising classes and delivering pre-planned lessonsSupporting students with emotional regulation and behaviourHelping young people re-engage with learningBuilding positive and trusting relationships with studentsUsing appropriate de-escalation strategies when situations become challengingProviding consistent boundaries and expectationsSupporting students with anxiety, low confidence and other barriers to learningWorking closely with teaching, pastoral and safeguarding teamsCreating a safe, supportive and inclusive environmentWho Are We ..... full job details .....
