We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to children, young people and adults. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment, promoting development, and ensuring individual needs are met. Duties

• Assist children and young people with daily activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
• Implement and follow personalised care plans in collaboration with families, social workers, and other professionals
• Support children in educational, recreational, and social activities to promote development and independence
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster confidence and resilience
• Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
• Maintain accurate records of support provided, behaviour observations, and progress reports
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure cohesive care delivery
• Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times, recognising signs of distress or concern

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
• Valid driving licence with the ability to drive children safely to various locations
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and team members
• Knowledge of child development principles and care planning processes
• Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
• Compassionate nature with strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Commitment to safeguarding standards and a genuine passion for supporting young people''s growth and wellbeing

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From -20 per hour
