Job Title: Test TechnicianLocation: St. NeotsSalary : 32000 pa (Permanent)Hours: 7:30am - 4pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7:30am - 1pm (Friday) JOB PURPOSEPerforms the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determine and develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems. Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepare technical reports summarising findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialised test equipment. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESCompetent in setting up and the use of oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analysers for testing and fault finding electronic assemblies and computer driven test systems.To undertake fault finding tasks with electronic circuits using schematic diagramsTaking a leading role in finding the root cause of faults and assisting in implementation of root cause solutions within the manufacturing process. Often liaising with other production process teams.Set up test equipment and test jigs both for in-circuit and full functional testing of PCBAs and complete products.Test PCBAs and complete electronic products following test procedures recording test results as directed.Only pass assemblies that meet the test specification with all readings falling within test limits.Ensure test work is carried out to ..... full job details .....
