Full-time Maternity Cover

An ambitious and high-achieving secondary school in South London is seeking a talented and passionate English Teacher to join its successful English department on a maternity cover basis from September 2026 until April 2027.

The Role

• Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire a love of reading and writing.
• Contribute to a collaborative and successful English department.
• Support students of all abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes.
• Play an active role in the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas teaching qualification recognised by UK ENIC.
• Has the ability to deliver outstanding English lessons across the secondary age range.
• Demonstrates high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
• Is passionate about raising attainment and inspiring young people.
• ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
