Yard & Warehouse Operative (Forklift Licence Required)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard & Warehouse Operative -This hands-on role involves managing stock, loading and unloading deliveries, maintaining an organised yard and warehouse environment, and operating a forklift safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will hold a valid forklift licence and have experience working in a warehouse, yard, or similar operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift truck
• Receiving, checking, and storing incoming stock
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard and warehouse
• Carrying out stock checks and inventory control
• Assisting customers and suppliers when required
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Supporting the wider operations team with general warehouse and yard duties

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
• Previous warehouse and/or yard experience
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good level of physical fitness
• Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
