Role OverviewWe’re looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer passionate about creating outstanding user experiences on top of HIVED’s emission-free parcel delivery network.

What you’ll be doing

Design, implement, and maintain a scalable backend architecture to power HIVED’s customer-facing products and tools.

Plan and lead projects along with other software engineers, product managers and UX designers.

Maintain and optimise existing infrastructure, including third-party integrations that enhance the customer experience.

Shape the engineering culture at HIVED by scaling processes, tools, and standards, while sharing knowledge with junior team members.

Participate in the on-call rota, ensuring system reliability.

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role, with 5+ years of experience.

Skilled at writing clean, performant and testable code in typed languages.

Experience in architecting, designing, and building distributed systems.

Familiarity with a range of technologies, databases and cloud stacks (AWS) and previous experience with Infrastructure as Code.

Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and customer-facing stakeholders.
