Reporting into the Managing Director, Head of Membership, Communications and Events, this newly created leadership opportunity will be instrumental in shaping and delivering ICMA''s global membership growth strategy.

ICMA is the leading global trade association for the international debt capital markets, representing around 630 member organisations across 70+ jurisdictions worldwide. As the organisation continues to expand its global influence, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced business development leader to drive membership growth and market engagement internationally.

The Role
You will lead ICMA''s global membership growth strategy, building relationships with senior stakeholders across the international capital markets community and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and delivering ICMA''s global membership growth strategy
• Building and converting a pipeline of new member opportunities
• Engaging C-suite stakeholders across financial institutions, issuers, asset managers and market infrastructure providers
• Expanding ICMA''s presence across key international and emerging markets
• Representing ICMA at industry events and strengthening its market profile
• Working collaboratively across membership, policy, education, events and communications teams to support growth and engagement.

About You
We''re interested in speaking with individuals who can demonstrate:

• A successful track record in senior business development, membership, commercial or client relationship roles
• Strong knowledge of capital markets, financial services or a related B2B environment
• Experience building senior stakeholder relationships and delivering measurable growth, particularly within emerging markets
• Strong commercial acumen, networking ability and influencing skills
• An international outlook with experience engaging stakeholders across multiple markets.
