To support Global Fund Accounting (GFA) Europe Product and GFA ETF Administration teams to successfully achieve daily and/or ad hoc deliverables. Actively participates in oversight of outsourced providers.Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the GFA Europe Product team by applying subject matter expertise and deep knowledge around the activities that influence fund accounting valuations. Independently identifies and resolves complex operational issues and assists less tenured crew.Supports the GFA ETF Administration function by acting as a reviewer and escalation point for daily operational duties. Performs required operational work as needed. Identifies operational process gaps and offers solutions to improve practices. Takes ownership of ETF launch initiatives.Maintains a comprehensive understanding of funds and securities across all investment products. Oversees documentation of procedures. Tracks adherence to control standards to ensure compliance. Supports management to foster an effective work environment.Serves as liaison between FFS business partners. Represents Vanguard professionally as a subject-matter-expert. Resolves stakeholder issues and escalates as needed. Independently resolves critical process concerns.Leads business-critical projects by analyzing impact, recommending solutions, and participating in implementation. Communicates effectively with team members and stakeholders.Identifies process improvements and proposes solutions to senior management.Reports on VUE metrics, maintains controls to mitigate risk, ensures contingency plans, supports end-user tools, and assists with new product launches related to corporate actions. Supports controls certification and self-assessment processes.Facilitates onboarding sessions, provides feedback, and supports ongoing training. Coaches team members on operational and project management activities.Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor''s in Accounting/Finance preferred.Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.Good judgment with ability to analyze issues and act quickly under pressure.Strong work ethic and contribution to team success.Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders.Leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills. Ability to interact across management levels.Adaptability to change.Experience with Excel, Access, Word preferred.Special Factors
