This is a vital role supporting autistic children and young people by working closely with families, school staff, and external agencies.The RoleThe Family Support Worker will provide practical and emotional support to families, contribute to safeguarding processes, and help strengthen links between home, school, and the wider community.Key responsibilities include:General administrative duties, including supporting annual reviewsSupporting families, including assistance with social security and transport application formsSupporting safeguarding processesMonitoring attendance and following up pupil absenceManaging the Jack Petchey Award SchemeCo-ordinating volunteer and university student placementsCo-ordinating visits for prospective parents and open morningsManaging parent and family eventsLiaising with external agencies and professionalsSupervising pupils when parents are late collecting them after schoolSupporting community links and the School CouncilUndertaking other duties as required, including lunch and supervision dutiesPerson SpecificationExperience (Essential):Experience of working with autistic children and young peopleExperience of supporting familiesKnowledge (Essential unless stated):A strong ..... full job details .....
