Residential Building Surveyor (APC / Newly Qualified)
Location: Croydon/Surrey
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 plus car allowance and commission
The opportunity
We are working with a well established and growing firm of Chartered Surveyors to appoint a Residential Building Surveyor at APC or newly qualified level.
This is a strong opportunity for a surveyor in the early stages of their career to gain hands on experience across residential valuations and surveys, while working towards chartership in a supportive and well structured environment.
The business has a strong client base including lenders and private clients, providing a consistent and varied pipeline of work.
The role You will support the delivery of residential surveying and valuation services across North and East London.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out property inspections across residential assets
- Assisting with secured lending valuations
- Supporting the delivery of RICS Level 2 and Level 3 surveys
- Preparing clear and accurate reports for clients
- Working closely with more experienced surveyors on complex instructions
- Managing your own workload as you develop
About you
We are interested in candidates who:
- Have a background in building surveying or residential property
- Are working towards AssocRICS or MRICS, or recently qualified
- Have some exposure to residential valuations or surveys
- Have a good understanding of building construction and defects
- Are keen to learn and develop within the profession
- Have strong communication and organisation skills
- Hold a full UK driving licence
