Pertemps Network Group are seeking a highly organised and professional Executive Personal Assistant to provide direct, confidential, and high-level support to the Director of Housing. This is a fast-paced, varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
You will act as the first point of contact for the Director, engaging confidently with residents, elected members, senior housing leaders, partner organisations and internal teams. The role requires exceptional communication skills, strong judgement, and the ability to manage sensitive and complex issues with discretion.
You will ensure the smooth operation of the Director’s office, managing inboxes, diaries, workflows, board administration, casework and key operational processes. You will also support events, senior management boards, resident engagement activity, Freedom of Information requests, and wider service priorities across Housing.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support and Office Management

- Provide confidential, professional daily support to the Director of Housing and senior team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents, councillors, senior managers and external partners.
- Ensure smooth and consistent operation of the Director’s office, applying agreed systems and processes.
- Deliver comprehensive inbox and diary management, prioritising activity in line with the Director’s objectives and the Council’s wider annual calendar.
- Draft responses, commission work from senior leaders and ensure actions are completed in a timely manner.
- Manage filing systems, data handling and office logistics (technology, stationery, equipment etc.) in line with corporate policies.

Board Support, Casework and Programme Delivery

- Support and coordinate Housing management boards, including agenda setting, minute taking, action tracking and forward planning.
- Provide operational support for DMT, Taskforce and short-term programme boards led by the Director of Housing.
- Lead the production of the Housing Weekly Digest and organise workshops, including Regulator of Social Housing inspection preparation activities.
- Oversee and action casework, complaints and Freedom of Information requests on behalf of the Director’s office.
- Respond to resident, business, contractor and partner enquiries, resolving issues wherever possible at first point of contact.

Events, Engagement and Emergency Planning

- Support the organisation of workshops, resident engagement sessions, partner events and internal seminars.
- Provide support to corporate emergency planning arrangements, including acting as loggist for the Director when required.
- Build effective relationships with Members, senior officers, resident groups and partners.

- Deliver excellent customer service, placing residents at the heart of all interactions.
