ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you''ll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.You can expect a variety of tasks as a Head of Maintenance. You''ll handle responsibilities within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. This may include fixing a leaky tap and planting bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. Additionally, you''ll liaise with contractors for jobs outside your team''s expertise.ABOUT YOUThe wellbeing of our residents will be your top priority. You''ll ensure all work respects their needs. With hands-on property maintenance experience, you''ll have at least one trade skill and the ability to undertake a range of maintenance tasks. Reliability and flexibility regarding working hours are essential.
