This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is committed to helping pupils overcome behavioural barriers and succeed both in and out of the classroom.In this role, you will work closely with students who display challenging behaviour, including those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in supporting pupils to regulate their emotions, develop positive behaviour strategies, and re-engage with their learning.As a Behaviour Mentor, you will: Work 1:1 and with small groups of pupils who present challenging behaviour Support students in managing emotions, triggers, and behaviour responses Implement behaviour management strategies and individual behaviour plans De-escalate situations calmly and effectively, maintaining a safe environment Help establish clear routines, boundaries, and expectations Build strong, consistent relationships to encourage trust and engagement Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionalsThe school is looking for someone who is calm under pressure, consistent in their approach, and confident in handling challenging situations.
