Responsibilities

A leading UK law firm is seeking an ambitious solicitor to join its Construction and Engineering team, with a focus on specialist contentious matters.

The successful candidate will have solid technical knowledge and experience gained within a strong regional, national, or City firm.

The role will involve advising a wide range of public and private sector clients, including local authorities, NHS Trusts, further and higher education institutions, academies, funders, developers, contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants.

You will ideally have experience in some or all of the following: Adjudication, Litigation, and Arbitration, with a solid understanding of advising on potential disputes and those arising under standard industry construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).

You should also be familiar with various methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

You will have exceptional attention to detail, consistently produce work of the highest standard, and take a proactive, flexible approach to client service and meeting deadlines.
