Role: Heavy Duty MIG Welder
Start Date: Immediate Start
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:30 (40 hours per week)
Pay: -16.00 - -17.00 per hour (Weekly Pay) + Pay Review After 3 Months

Are you an experienced Heavy Duty MIG Welder looking for a long-term opportunity? We''re recruiting for a skilled welder to join a well-established engineering company in Ipswich, manufacturing and fabricating large, heavy-duty steel equipment.

This isn''t light fabrication - you''ll be working with heavy gauge mild steel (20mm+), producing robust, high-quality welds on large engineering components. Overtime is regularly available during busy periods and is paid at enhanced rates.

• Heavy-duty MIG welding on 20mm+ mild steel
• Fabricating and assembling large steel components
• Working from detailed engineering drawings and weld symbols
• Using cutting, drilling and grinding machinery
• Maintaining high standards of weld quality and accuracy
• Working safely in line with company Health & Safety procedures

• Proven experience in heavy fabrication and heavy-duty MIG welding
• Confident welding thick section mild steel (20mm+)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision
• Fabrication experience is highly desirable and may attract a higher hourly rate
