A leading UK-based Managed IT Services and Technology Solutions provider is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Purchasing and Logistics Manager to take ownership of a strategic IT and software distribution category (c. £20m spend) while coordinating procurement activities across the wider group (c. £40m additional spend).Contract: Permanent • Reports to: Chief Information Officer (CIO)This role supports a wide range of customers – from SMEs to enterprise – with managed IT, cloud, cyber security, and connectivity solutions, and is committed to driving innovation and best practice in procurement across multiple entities.What You’ll Be Doing
Category Ownership – IT and Software Distribution (-£20m spend)Lead sourcing, RFPs, and contract negotiations for
IT and software distribution suppliersManage supplier relationships, pricing, SLAs, and commercial terms across the groupTrack
supplier performance, contractual compliance, rebates , and
risk
via standardised reportingCoordinate supplier accreditations and partnership programmesAct as the primary point of contact for both suppliers and internal stakeholdersGroup Procurement CoordinationSupport and align Lead Buyers across other spend categoriesDrive consistency in sourcing processes, supplier tracking, and reportingConsolidate group procurement dashboards and KPIsFacilitate knowledge sharing and operational best practiceProvide hands-on procurement support for selected high-impact projectsWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum
5 years’ procurement or sourcing experienceProven success in running
RFPs ,
negotiating contracts , and
delivering savingsStrong exposure to
IT-related categories
(ideally
hardware
and/or
