Overview

A All through school in Lichfield is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its team from September 2026. The role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners with a strong subject background and a clear approach to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver structured, engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS2, KS3 and KS4
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback
• Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, meetings, and CPD

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in a Science-related discipline
• Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to student achievement and progression
• Ability to contribute to a collaborative department

Desirable:

• Experience teaching KS5 (A-Level)
• Familiarity with current GCSE specifications
• Evidence of raising attainment
