Our client, a leading organisation within the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Test and Acceptance Engineer for a contract position based in Christchurch. This role is pivotal in supporting a fully integrated command and control system for the Ministry of Defence (MoD). This extensive systems and software programme encompasses numerous disciplines, including design, development, installation, implementation, integration, acceptance, training, and logistics support.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a set of tests proving the functionality of the system to be deliveredConduct testing activities throughout the product lifecycleParticipate in customer-witnessed acceptance test events at customer sitesProduce and update test reports and schedulesManage rig deployments, install patches, and manage configurations/test environmentsClear defectsExecute verification and validation processesPrepare to work away from home for short periods in MoD environmentsJob Requirements:Essential:Experience implementing test strategiesProficiency in non-functional and functional testing strategies and executionExperience with defect tracking toolsSC clearance (Security Check)Desirable:Experience with Windows operating systems, including Active DirectoryBasic networking knowledgeDV clearance (Developed Vetting)Skills:Essential:Previous experience in testing roles involving integration, regression, acceptance, and performance testingCapability to create test case ..... full job details .....
