Prison located inGloucester Terrace in the Armley area of Leeds in West Yorkshire.An integrated and friendly team who really value strong culture and ensuring everyone in the current team and new starters all carry and hold the same PPG values. Lots of opportunity to develop and become more specialist in Health in Justice within substance misuse but also within primary care nursing.Hours37.5 hours a week working 3X 9.5 hour shifts and 1x 7.5 hour working a mix of day and nights, dependant on what is required but they are flexible on when these days/nights are worked. Day time shifts are 7am-8.30pm and night shifts are 8pm-7.30am. As aSenior Substance Misuse Nurse,your responsibilities will vary. You willWork as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planningDeliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing modelBe able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and informationSupport in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions.You will occasionally be required to support dispensingHave an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.It doesnt stop there
