FINTEC recruit is supporting hiring for a CNC Programmer/Setter. This is a permanent role based in Rugby. Working for a precision engineering business on day shift - Monday to Thursday 06:00 a.m. to 16:00 pm. An opportunity to develop further. Salary negotiable by experience up to circa £39,000 Responsibilities: Programming, setting and operating Sliding Head Programming Produce high quality components, working with Citizen and Star machines Programming and editing NC programmes for Fanuc and Mitsubishi controlled Sliding Head Machines Set up CNC machine tools and produce first off components to drawing specifications Prepare tooling and identify wear and damage Operate and monitor machines during production runs Carry out process inspections and record production data Complete TPM maintenance tasks in line with 5S standards Skills and experience required for the CNC Programmer /Setter role:- Strong experience in CNC machining and Sliding Head turning, ideally on Citizen M Series and Star SR/SB/SL machines. Ability to develop machining strategies, select tooling, and create robust NC programs. Confident in setting up complete processes, including bar feeders, bushes, and collets. Excellent knowledge of materials, tooling geometries, cutting data, and measurement techniques. High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to stay organised under pressure.
