PK Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

This full-time role is to start ASAP and is expected to continue on an ongoing basis, potentially until the end of the academic year.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting schools by delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting students within the classroom environment
• Encouraging participation and maintaining a productive atmosphere
• Working with different year groups across secondary education

• Graduates or aspiring teachers looking to gain school-based experience
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with young people
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Positive, adaptable, and proactive individuals
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Graduates considering a career in teaching
• Individuals looking to complete teacher training or a PGCE
• Future teachers wanting to build behaviour management experience
• Candidates seeking flexible and rewarding work within schools

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle, as travel between schools may be required.

£98 – £105 per day
