Own Transport Needed due to LocationThe RoleWe are seeking an experienced horticulturist to lead our Agronomy team. This is a hands-on role, managing a small team of Study Directors/Project Managers and delivering a diverse portfolio of plant trials across glasshouse and outdoor crops.You will be responsible for client liaison, project delivery, staff management, and maintaining the high standards that underpin our reputation.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and deliver a wide range of RandD projects across:Edible and ornamental glasshouse cropsField vegetables and salad cropsNursery stockLead, mentor, and support a team of Study Directors/Project ManagersAct as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent communication and serviceOversee project planning, budgets, timelines, and reportingReview data, interpret results, and produce high-quality technical reportsIdentify and help develop new business opportunities to support our continued growthRequirementsDegree in Horticulture or equivalent industry experience with strong technical knowledgeProven experience managing RandD or applied research projectsExperience of line management and budget managementStrong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines accuratelyExcellent written and analytical skills, including report writing and data interpretationCommercial awareness and the ability to identify new opportunities within the industryAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an ..... full job details .....
