What is a Cover Supervisor?

A cover supervisor is responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Cover supervisors do not usually teach new content or provide subject-specific expertise. Instead, they maintain order in the classroom, oversee the completion of work assigned by the absent teacher, and provide support where needed.
