Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs? Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Corby area.

This rewarding role involves working closely with students who may experience challenges with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in education. You will play a key role in helping students develop confidence, resilience, and positive relationships whilst supporting their learning journey.

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.

• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies.

• Building positive and trusting relationships with students.

• Working alongside teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals.

• Encouraging engagement in lessons and promoting positive outcomes.

• Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom environment.

• Experience working with young people in education, care, youth work, support work, or similar settings.

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Confidence managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional needs.

• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
