Sous Chef

Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the Royal and Ancient in Huddesfield. We are currently rated number 1 in huddersfield on trip advisor. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food safety and production. As a part of the team toy will be ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and fostering a positive working environment within the team. Duties Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications. Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and hygiene practices. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen procedures. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned. Qualifications Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role, with a strong portfolio of dishes. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Strong culinary skills with the ability to create innovative dishes. Excellent team management skills, fostering collaboration within the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
