Global Relay .As a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you oversee testing resources on a small, highly focused team responsible for delivery of highly scalable and robust services within Global Relay’s platform. You ensure appropriate and efficient testing strategies are applied, with a focus on shift-left testing principles. You will drive continual improvement in your team’s automation frameworks and coverage while mentoring other SDETs in the team on industry-leading technologies and test practices. You will guide and participate hands-on in the team’s testing efforts to ensure quality of coverage, quality of code and quality of delivery.

Your Job:Manage performance assessments and hiring for a small team of SDETsDrive the team’s testing and automation strategiesDefine and organize the team\''s test planning for releasesDesign and coding of automation frameworks, tests and toolsParticipate in team planning and story groomingParticipate in test execution, issue identification and resolution in support of the releasePropose and implement improvements to automation and test processesDevelop and maintain shared testing librariesProvide training, mentorship and support to other members on the teamConduct code reviews, improve and maintain quality of the automation codeDocument the automation framework, tools and infrastructure

About You:Minimum 8 years of experience in test developmentMinimum 2 years of experience leading a small teamStrong understanding of the Java language and object-oriented principlesExpertise applying test practices in an agile environmentExperience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnitExperience testing backend systems or APIsExperience with any of the following is an asset: Testing performance with JMeter or similar toolsWeb services technology such as REST, JSON or ThriftTesting web applications with Selenium WebDriverBig data technology such as Hadoop, MongoDB, Kafka or SQLNetwork principles and protocols such as HTTP, TLS and TCPContinuous integration systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo
