Samphire Neuroscience is building the world’s first brain stimulation therapies designed specifically for women’s chronic pain and hormonal health. Our first product, Nettle, is a wearable neurotechnology for PMS, PMDD, and endometriosis; and we’re just getting started. Our Samphire app unites Nettle users, as well as all women living with cycles and chronic conditions linked to them, and allows women to understand their wellbeing through a brain lens.We’re looking for a
Founding UX/UI Design Lead
to shape how women experience brain health innovation. This is a hands-on design leadership role for someone who wants to bring design vision, empathy, and scientific precision into a single product experience through the Samphire app. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, clinical, and commercial teams to create seamless, trusted user journeys that span a wide range of clinical and wellbeing needs that are centred on the brain.What You’ll Do
Define and own the end-to-end design language across our mobile app, and supporting systems.Champion design as a strategic pillar in building a new healthtech experience.User Experience
Translate complex neurotechnology into intuitive, supportive, and emotionally resonant experiences.Design for women living with PMS, menstrual pain, endometriosis, PMDD, PCOS, and chronic pelvic pain.Design for women who want to understand their cycle wellbeing through a brain-focused lens.Lead and implement the design of our mobile app, from onboarding flows and symptom tracking to neurostimulation guidance and adherence support.Work closely with engineering and product to deliver high-quality, Figma-based assets and interaction models.Iterate quickly on user feedback and needs to bring about a game-changing experience for all women who could benefit from neurotechnology and understanding their health through the brain.Work at the intersection of neuroscience, women’s health, and consumer app design.Partner with product to ensure features are human-centered, evidence-based, and market-ready.Who you are
5+ years in UX/UI design, ideally in startups (maybe even your own?), healthtech, medtech, or consumer tech.A world-class portfolio of mobile app design work, focused on clarity, craft, and impact.Absolute mastery of Figma.Proven ability to lead design across both strategy (10%) and execution (90%).Strong track record working cross-functionally with product and engineering.Experience designing for regulated or healthcare-adjacent products is a plus.Passion for inclusive, empathetic, and evidence-based design.Comfortable in ambiguity; energized by building a one-of-a-kind experience.Why Join Samphire?
