Are you ready to take full ownership of complex engineering projects and see them through from conception to success?
We’re looking for a Project Engineer to join our client’s projects department to be the driving force behind delivering capital investment projects, right from initial concept to full operational handover.
In this role, you’ll work at the heart of cross-functional collaboration, bringing together engineering, operations, suppliers, and contractors to deliver real world impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead full-cycle delivery of capital and improvement projects.
- Translate concepts into project specifications and actionable plans.
- Select, evaluate, and manage suppliers and technical solutions.
- Oversee installations, commissioning, and validation.
- Monitor progress, budget, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HES standards and CDM regulations.
- Define training needs and manage delivery for new systems.
- Guide and support apprentices and junior team members.
- Foster best practices in engineering project execution.
- Provide regular status updates, reports, and insights.
- Track budgets, timelines, and outstanding actions.
- Ensure project documentation is complete and audit ready.
What We Are Looking For:
- Ideally a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Hands on expertise with machinery installation and commissioning.
- Strong project management skills (Prince2 desirable).
- Proficiency in CAD, project planning tools, and MS Office.
- Solid knowledge of fluids, utilities, fabrication principles, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
