Assistant Management Accountant

The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting within the organisation.
This role is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is looking to join a business offering long term progression.
The role will work closely with a fully qualified management accountant with frequent exposure to the Finance Director.

Description
Assistant Management Accountant duties include:
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Supporting the FP&A team with the budgeting / forecasting process.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
- Provide financial insights to assist in decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Assist in preparing audit documentation and liaising with external auditors.
- Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist with transactional duties including monitoring of the accounts inbox.
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
- A proven track record in a similar role.
- Experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Be part qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
