Your new company: Based in Bedford, we are working with a leading company in the design, development, and manufacture of innovative equipment used in a range of industries from automotive, aerospace, rail and more! Due to increased business and continuous growth, they are now recruiting for a CNC Seter/operator - Turner - to join their machine shop team. The CNC Turner will work on several products, setting and operating a range of CNC and manual machinery. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Set up CNC turning machines according to engineering drawings and setup sheets.Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job.Operate CNC machines (Fanuc controls) to produce components to tight tolerances.Monitor production runs, adjusting machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency.Perform in-process inspections using measuring equipment (e.g., micrometres, calipers, gauges). This is a summed-up list, and other responsibilities and duties will be required. Skills and Experience required: Proven experience in CNC turning and machine setup.Familiarity with Fanuc, or similar CNC controls.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Strong understanding of machining principles and tool selection.Competence in using precision measuring instruments.
