Supply Desk are currently recruiting a dedicated RE Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school community, covering a maternity leave from Easter or May 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality RE lessons across key stages.
- Inspire students to explore and critically engage with a range of religious beliefs, ethical perspectives, and cultural traditions.
- Create a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and positive learning space for all students.
- Provide constructive feedback and communicate progress with students and families.
- Lead exam preparation and deliver focused revision sessions.
- Participate in extracurricular activities related to religious education.
- Stay informed of changes to the RE curriculum and best practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, and a degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
- Previous experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting, with a passion for the subject.
- Strong knowledge of world religions, ethical perspectives, and cultural diversity.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection standards.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and current curriculum standards.
