London Long established building contractor who have a large pipeline of work urgently require a Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager for or their busy office in SE London.The company, predominantly build apartment blocks for Local Authorities and Residential Providers these will be RC blocks to an affordable specification and built throughout London and Greater London areas. The apartments will be between 8 – 18 storey (generally speaking) and all works are won through competitive tendering and bidding which they are very successful at given the work in the pipelines. They are a building contractor and work on tight margins (as per the majority of the building contracting market) and need someone who is familiar with this kind of setup.The ideal candidate will be time served as a quantity surveyor having come through the ranks of Assistant/ Intermediate/ Senior and already be in a Managing Quantity Surveying / Commercial manager role or ready to take the official step up to this role already being responsible for a number of subordinates. The successful candidate will also have lengthy experience of having worked for a medium sized Main Contractor and understand the tight margins these type companies work by.This is an exciting role for the right individual, one that will be very rewarding and interesting with a good mix of projects.
