My client is an engineering design consultancy working closely with a wide range of clients, across a number of disciplines within the UK rail and utilities industries. Full time role from the Manchester Office with occasional site visits for which travel expenses will be paid.Hybrid working possible when required provided agreed in advance.Can be contract (outside IR35) or permanent role. LOOKING AT SENIOR AND PRINCIPAL LEVELS Responsibilities:Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.Produce design calculations and drawings for the water industryDirect and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates.Direct, prepare scopes for and check output of subcontract electrical design teamsLiaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturersPrepare design investigations, reports and specifications.Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and group standards.Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.Estimate hours required for design packagesPresent and attend at meetings and design presentations Essentials: 10 years'' relevant design experience in the water industry Significant experience in LV design Graduate or HND Registered with professional body and working towards chartership Desirables:Chartered engineerExperience in control and/or telecoms engineeringExperience with ATEXExperience in HV, LV and ICA designsAwareness of construction methods and materials.Knowledge of engineering ..... full job details .....
