Futures recruitment are looking to appoint a Machine Shop Team Leader for a well known and prestigious manufacturing business based in Leeds. The successful Machine shop team leader will have experience operating 3-5 axis CNC machines in a fast paced, highly regulated industry.The role will be very hands on with managerial duties and paperwork associated with the position. Our client offer a very competitive package and the chance to grow in a very robust industry.The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of working within a regulated environment.Key Responsibilities:• Lead and supervise a team of CNC machinists, programmers, and setup operators in a high-precision, multi-axis machining environment.• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues, improve processes, and ensure product conformity.• Review and validate CNC programs, tooling, and setup sheets for 3- and 5-axis machines.• Perform first-article inspections and support in-process inspections to maintain product integrity.• Monitor and improve team performance through training, coaching, and performance evaluations.• Ensure all shop floor documentation, logs, and maintenance records are accurately maintained.• Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Qualifications:• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining, including 3- to 5-axis machines.• Minimum 2 years of ..... full job details .....
