ABC Teachers are seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Stoke on Trent starting as soon as possible. This would be on a fulltime basis.The role itself:You will be working 1:1 with a specific pupil, assisting in classrooms and providing interventions for a specific pupil while de-escalating stressful situations to help the teacher conduct lessons successfully.You must have:Effective behaviour management skillsStrong adaptability Great communication skills to be able to cater to the specific child and communicate. A strong passion for learning and showing creativity and helping others.Patience, Resilience and ReliabilityStrong interpersonal skills to cater to the specific needs of the pupil.Be able to provide 2 solid references covering years experience.Hold a DBS registered on the update service or must be able to arrange one.Must have previous experience working within education or with SEN or a similar environment.ABC Teachers is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
