Vice President and Legal Counsel – Transaction Management

— London (4 days a week). One of Europe’s leading investment banks is seeking to hire a lawyer and Vice President to join the Transaction Management team. This role will focus on supporting Debt Markets across the UK and EMEA, providing high-quality legal advice and transaction management expertise. This role does not sit within the central legal team, but sits within the business, providing legal services.As part of a collaborative team in the business, you will take ownership of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documentation, supporting the origination team in structuring and executing syndicated loan transactions. You will act as a key point of contact for originators and internal stakeholders, while also liaising with syndicate members and external counsel to ensure successful transaction delivery. There will be some client facing activity, assisting with pitches, and structuring deals across existing loan portfolios.Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation for syndicated loan transactions.Support the origination team in structuring and executing transactions.Act as a point of contact for originators, internal stakeholders, syndicate members, and external counsel.Assist with pitches and client-facing activities as required.Engage with existing loan portfolios and ensure timely transaction delivery.Candidate Requirements

Ideally 5–8 years'' PQE from a general banking team or leveraged finance team within a top law firm OR experience in a similar role within another investment bank.Experience using LMA documentation is a prerequisite; investment grade or restructuring background would be considered.Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with the trading floor and be client-facing when required.Collaborative, commercial, with a solid legal understanding of the issues involved.This is a unique role to be sat in the business of a major investment bank, as a lawyer.
