Senior Building Surveyor - Swindon Borough CouncilJob DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to support the delivery of planned, cyclical and responsive maintenance programmes across a residential property portfolio. The successful candidate will provide technical surveying expertise, manage complex property defects and disrepair cases, oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with housing standards and relevant regulations.The role requires a surveyor with strong technical knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills and experience delivering property improvement works within social housing, local authority or residential asset management environments.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Surveying and Property InspectionsUndertake detailed inspections of residential properties and communal areas.Diagnose complex building defects and identify appropriate remedial solutions.Investigate damp, mould, condensation and structural issues.Produce detailed condition surveys, technical reports and specifications.Assess repair liabilities and develop planned maintenance recommendations.Support compliance with housing quality standards and statutory requirements.
