Events and Weddings Manager - sales

Events and Weddings Manager (Sales role) required for a hotel in the Redhill, Surrey area. As Events and Weddings Manager you will be responsible for the reactive and proactive selling aspects of event sales and co-ordination covering conferences, events and some weddings. For this opportunity of Events and Weddings Manager you will have previous sales and events co-ordination / administration experience within hospitality, along with a proven ability to achieve sales budget / business targets. As Events and Weddings Manager, a sample of your role / duties, will include: Taking the booking enquiry, the co-ordination / administration, planning of the event, through to the function sheet for the operations team and generating invoices / payment To assist with proactively selling this property, networking to develop local business links / generating new leads to increase sales and to maintain existing and return business. To organise and host fam visits for local Companies to promote company facilities. Review and action all aspects of events guest feedback, ensuring that the day to day running of the events department runs smoothly. The role may require you to work week-ends on an appointment basis to maximise event sales, to include some evening appointments, however mainly working office type hours.
