Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with a client based in North Yorkshire who are looking to appoint a Production Planner to the team, on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will deliver the production plan through strong planning, organisational and communication skills. You will lead the production schedule to produce a deliverable plan taking into consideration constraints to scheduling, maintaining stock levels and service levels. Your responsibilities will include: Conduct the SandOP cycle for the business by translating the sales forecast into an achievable, well timed production plan. Creation of RCCP recognising areas of capacity constraint presenting opportunities as required to alleviate. Identify products as runners, repeaters and determine stock holding required in conjunction with sales forecast. Generate and maintain routings and characteristics allowing product groupings to maximise efficiency. Management and communication of 3 month rolling plan ensuring all relevant parties are aware and commitment reached. Maintain and monitor sales forecasts generating production orders to satisfy demand. Coordinate replanning as and when required. Actively communicate with production, procurement, sales and maintenance departments as required.
