Arup’s Air Quality team operates as a national practice, sharing resources and projects across UK offices. We are looking for an experienced Senior/ Principal Air Quality Consultant to join the National team in the UK, with base in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle or Leeds.Responsibilities
Lead a wide range of air quality projects within multidisciplinary teams or as standalone projects.Provide high quality technical consultancy and advisory support to clients.Lead the delivery of projects on time and to budget.Lead technical air quality assessments and reports and support site visits where necessary.Support business development and win work, and provide technical and pastoral support to junior team members.What you’ll need
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject.Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and Institution of Environmental Science (IES). Chartered status with IAQM/IES or actively working towards it is desirable.Demonstrable track record of leading and managing a wide range of air quality projects in terms of scale and sector.Highly competent using air quality dispersion software (e.g. ADMS, AERMOD) with pre- and post-processing analysis. Proficient in GIS and data visualisation tools (OpenAir, PowerBI, etc.). Python or carbon assessment experience desirable.Full UK/EU driving licence.What we offer
