We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client''s team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts or finance experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately
• Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts
• Assisting with credit control and payment collection
• Preparing and processing payments
• Maintaining accurate financial records and data entry
• Supporting month-end procedures and reporting
• Handling finance-related queries by phone and email
• Assisting the wider finance team with administrative duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive and professional attitude

Desirable

• Experience using Sage, Xero, or similar accounting systems
• AAT qualification or studying towards one
